Park baby slide. Lily.
Lily legs on the swing.
Cutey-pie Reese.
Breakin' the law.
Point Pleasant Beach.I am not sure how to summarize how much fun the ladies have been. I am going to compile a list of 20 (probably more) new things the girls can do - ahem -
1. Lily can say her own name and point to herself.
2. Learned the word "Mine"
3. Love to give kisses
4. Have realized going in the wagon usually means going to Shanahan's which means "cookies". Now we call it the cookie wagon. This has backfired on us when Shanahan's is closed.
5. Pool Pool Pool. This needs to be a whole separate post.
6. Will tell Chava "No" when he tries to steal their snacks.
7. Will call things "not nice" when they don't like them - i.e. the scary rides for big kids on the boardwalk
8. LOVE Ice Cream
9. Picked out dresses to go to the Milltown 4th of July Celebration despite all their new outfits from Old Navy.
10. Tried funnel cake for the first time which cost $5 in Milltown! I thought I was at Jenkinsons.
11. Love their new (well not so new) playmate Deville. We saw him Thursday and the whole way home heard about "D".
12. Lily set a pie on fire. That's right. Our friends bought a new house and I wasn't even thinking. So Lily went over to the stove and I turned around and the pie, that was sitting on the burner was an inferno. Luckily, it went out quickly and is so NOT FUNNY, but Lily, just turned around and smiled as I bolted to the stove. The pie was rhubarb.
13. Love bubbles. Actually the best part about bubbles is hearing them say it and then take their little bubble containers blow through the wand with their lips actually touching the wand so when they talk, bubbles come out. Not kidding.
14. Are getting pee-pee and pooh-pooh. Reese will tell you "pooh-pooh" right before she goes. Getting on the potty training track for sure. Elmo potty is waiting. What will we do with all that extra money when we don't have to buy diapers?? Ha!
15. Could live at the pool if allowed. You cannot drive past the pool after school or else someone may jump out of the car seat. This has happened to me very innocently. I wanted to see if it was busy at 4 in the afternoon. Bad idea.
16. Pick their noses. Thanks dad.
17. Dance. Reese threw down the craziest moves I have ever seen the other morning. And at the end of her routine actually threw herself on the ground like a finale, looked up at Rich and me, and smiled.
18. Itsy Bitsy Spider. They will try to sing along and do the arm movements.
19. Sprinkles. Can't live without them. One day, we went to Shanahan's and they gave us some free cookies. You know, the ones that are 1/2 dipped in chocolate and sprinkles, and 1/2 not. Lily, after eating the chocolate dipped side, handed me the cookie and said "More". So I gave her the same cookie back. She threw it out of the wagon. Needless to say, we only buy 100% sprinkled cookies.
20. Make-up. I started putting lip balm on them when they were little little for sunscreen. Now this has expanded into "lipstick" (lip balm) and "pow-pow" (powder). Reese will pat her cheeks when you break a compact out for it. And don't even try to get away with not sharing lotion. They will come up to you and put their arms out for a sample. Please, only organics and preferably coconut scented.
Enjoy the pics!
Happy 4th!!
